A: Dennis: It is an excellent way in which the energy efficiency can be measured and compared to other builders as well as other plans.

Q: Why should consumers ask for the HERS Index Score on homes they are shopping for?

A: Dennis: Consumers should be able to plan what their utility costs will be. They should also be able to compare homes with each other.

Q: Why does Fulton Homes choose to have their homes HERS Rated?

A: Dennis: Customers have the right to see how energy efficient their home will be.

Q: Why consumers should expect energy-efficient homes?

A: Dennis: They are making one of the largest investments of a lifetime, and one should be able to analyze the total cost of ownership.

Q: How many homes does Fulton Homes build with HERS per year?

A: Dennis: We build around 500 homes per year.

Q: How do you market HERS Rated homes?

A: Dennis: We publish all of our HERS ratings on all of our price sheets as well as on our website. We also include it in our advertising.

A: Dennis: We have worked with Arcxis since 2008, and they have been excellent partners in achieving our goal as being the most energy efficient builder in the Phoenix market.
