Q: What is special about a HERS® Rated home?
A: Raul: It is built with energy efficiency in mind, translating to money savings to the buyer of HERS® rated home. It is actually tested with measurable results ensuring the consumer that the label is earned and not just a paid for stamp of certification. We feel that a HERS® rating is extremely important, it gives the buyer the information required to make an informed decision. Having a RESNET official rating is basically putting a seal of approval.
Q: Why should consumers ask for the HERS® Index Score on homes they are shopping for?
A: Raul: In order to determine if the home they are considering purchasing will save them money on their monthly utility bills. This also allows them to get an idea of how much they will save them in the long run, giving them the opportunity to even invest a little more in upgrades from the get go.

A: Raul: All ICON built homes are built and HERS® tested.
Q: How do you market HERS® Rated homes?
A: Raul: Our website explains the HERS® rating system and we post the actual HERS® score on each inventory home we market. We also post the scores in each completed unsold home. We also do some social media that advertises the advantages of a HERS® rated home.
Q: How do your customers feel about HERS® Rated homes?
A: Raul: Most are appreciative that we are building beautiful homes with current designs and amenities and the added bonus of saving them money on their monthly expenses.
