Q: What is special about a HERS® Rated home?
A: Jessica: Wright Builders focuses on minimizing the energy consumption of our new homes. HERS® rated homes provide us the confidence that we can meet those energy saving goals.
Q: Why should consumers ask for the HERS® Index Score on homes they are shopping for?
A: Jessica: HERS® ratings will help consumers compare apples to apples with regards to their home’s performance and overall comfort.
Q: Why does Wright Builders choose to have their homes HERS® Rated?
A: Jessica: HERS® ratings provide proof that our homes are designed to the highest performance standards. HERS® assists Wright Builders in valuing various construction methods to achieve lower HERS® ratings.
Q: Why consumers should expect energy-efficient homes?
A: Jessica: Energy prices will continue to rise. Energy-efficient homes save consumers money. Our Energy efficient homes are much more comfortable than code minimum homes, provide improved air quality and longevity. And highly efficient PV-powered all electric homes are needed to achieve a smaller carbon footprint!
Q: How many homes does Wright Builders build with HERS® per year?
A: Jessica: All our new homes are HERS® rated, including a recent build that scores a -61 HERS® Score, rated by Center for EcoTechnology.
Q: How do you market HERS® Rated homes?
A: Jessica: Wright Builders strives for our new homes to be net-zero ready whenever possible. HERS® ratings are a significant part of proving how energy efficient our homes will be.
Q: How do your customers feel about HERS® Rated homes?
A: Jessica: Customers are excited to see their low HERS® scores. Having a HERS® ratings allow customers to compare various energy saving options for their new homes. It’s a great assessment tool that is highly valued by our customers and Wright Builders.
